Lunar New Year is a time that brings together family and friends to welcome the new year, and celebrations include festivals with a variety of lucky foods shared with loved ones. Since 2007, Panda Express has been changing kids’ health to change the future at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by raising millions of dollars to impact local pediatric health initiatives. Associates ask guests to “round up” at the register, with every dollar donated creating a ripple effect in the community.
Please join us, along with the Panda Express associates and guests, in celebrating this Lunar New Year by visiting your local Panda Express and making a donation. In 2023, more than $20 million was raised for programs that support the whole child, including their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
At the local level, the Panda Express stores in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties collectively raised over $87,000! That is an impressive 11% increase from the previous year! We want to give a special shout-out to our top three fundraising stores, starting with the highest fundraiser: Hollister, Salinas on North Davis Rd, and Soquel!
Our local CMNH Champion, Jessica, paid the Monterey and Seaside stores a visit to gift the associates special treats to show our appreciation for their support.
Additionally, Panda Cares Centers of Hope spaces, are spaces designed to provide a safe and comforting place where kids can be kids again, while they are receiving the care they need to be the future leaders, inventors, and doctors of tomorrow! Stay tuned for our own Panda Cares Center of Hope coming this year!
In 2023, Panda Express associates and guests donated more than $20 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, bringing the total to more than $150M over the lifetime of this partnership. It is through Panda Express’ commitment that Salinas Valley Health can provide the most impactful care to kids when needed most.
